The restaurant shared the news on Facebook and thanked the community for its support over the years. According to the announcement, the final day of service will be Sunday, with the restaurant closing at 4 pm.

A big thank you to our Fargo community. After many great years of serving you, we will be closing our doors... We're grateful for every visit, every meal, and every guest who's supported us along the way. Thank you for being part of our story.
The post did not specify a reason for the closure, leaving customers without an explanation for why the Fargo location is shutting down.
Many customers expressed disappointment in the Facebook comments, sharing their reactions to the news. The closure will leave North Dakota without a Smashburger location, as the Fargo restaurant is the only one in the state.
