The Great Plains Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger together. They collaborate with a wide array of individuals and organizations daily, carefully channeling donated surplus food and grocery products to their network of food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, and other charitable feeding programs serving those who are hungry and homeless.
Food rescue bridges the gap between food waste and food insecurity by utilizing food that already exists. Diverting just a fraction of a community's food waste can significantly reduce food insecurity in the area. The Great Plains Food Bank directs 96% of all donations received toward programs and services, ensuring that every dollar donated provides food for three meals for those in need.
