Whether for the variety of flavors or to refresh the high summer temperatures, ice cream purchases in June this year exceeded total purchases in the same period of 2022 by 9.8%.

Scholaroo recently analyzed consumer tracking data of online shopping data to determine the increase in people's appetite for ice cream.

It would be challenging to find someone who doesn’t like ice cream, perhaps because there are so many good flavors to choose from. Do you know what America’s favorite is?

According to the Favorite Ice Cream Flavors Index, which is an actual thing based on a study of consumer preferences and trends in America, chocolate is the most popular flavor in the country -- enjoyed the most in 23 states including North Dakota.

Second on the list is Rocky Road, and Cookie Dough is number-three. Maine and West Virginia's favorite flavor is strawberry, Massachusetts prefers cherry, New Hampshire likes its coffee ice cream, and Neapolitan is what they're eating in Montana and South Dakota.
