50th Showdown: Williston Vs. Mandan Set To Thrill Fans Once Again
The excitement of high school football is back in full swing as Week 2 of the WDA season kicks off tonight with a packed schedule of games across the region.
From early matchups in Grand Forks to a late showdown in Minot, fans are in for a thrilling evening of gridiron action.
A high-stakes AAA battle between Williston (0-1) and Mandan (1-0) kicks off at 7:00 p.m. With both teams looking to build momentum and set the tone for the rest of the season in each team's first conference matchup of the season.
This will be the 50th all time matchup between the two schools, with the Coyotes holding the all-time series advantage 25-24.
Mandan has closed the gap in recent years, winning every matchup since 2017. The last time the Coyotes won the battle (in 2016) was a defensive slugfest, with WHS coming out on top by the final of 6-3.
