The weekend is nearly here, and Mother Nature seems to have RSVP’d “yes” to perfect weather. Once you’ve mowed the lawn, pulled the weeds, and convinced yourself that the garden doesn’t really need watering again today, it’s time for some well-earned fun. May I suggest trading the hum of the lawnmower for the strum of a guitar?

Williams County Parks and DMJ Productions are teaming up to bring Project: Constellation to the park at Epping/Springbrook Dam. The concert is free and open to the public, so there’s really no excuse not to go, unless you’ve got a hot date with your couch, but even then, bring it along in spirit.

From Folk to Punk: Project: Constellation Brings a Little Bit of Everything

Project: Constellation hails from Grand Forks, North Dakota, and is made up of a talented acoustic folk-pop-punk-singer-songwriter duo (try saying that five times fast). Their musical style bounces from folk to jazz to punk and everywhere in between—meaning you’ll probably hear something that makes you tap your foot, hum along, or possibly even attempt a little dance in your camp chair.

Epping/Springbrook Dam: Your Perfect Backdrop for Music, Nature, and Relaxation

The Epping/Springbrook Dam park—just 15 miles east of Williston—offers camping, fishing, a walking trail, and wide-open skies perfect for stargazing after the music wraps up. Restrooms will be available, but be sure to bring your own refreshments, snacks, and of course, a comfy chair.

So pack a picnic, grab your friends, and head out for a summer evening of great tunes, fresh air, and maybe even a little spontaneous jigging. The lawn will survive without you for one night.

Learn more about the park here or book a campsite starting May 19, 2025, here.
