
Finally, a Forecast For North Dakota That Doesn’t Require a Jacket, Goggles, or an Ark
North Dakota has definitely seen its share of weird weather lately. One day we’re dodging raindrops, and then next we're squinting through a smoky haze from all the wildfires up in Canada. And let’s not even get started on that wind. If you didn’t chase your garbage can down the street at least once this week, are you even a North Dakotan?

But here’s some good news that might make you put your parka back in the closet (at least temporarily): the weather forecast for June 14–18 is looking up! Warmer-than-normal temperatures are expected across much of the country, and that includes us right here in the Peace Garden State.

Now, before you start planning your backyard BBQ or lakeside getaway, you might want to keep a poncho nearby. The outlook also calls for above-normal precipitation. Because of course it does. This is North Dakota, after all—we never get just one weather pattern at a time.

Still, we’ll take it. A little warm rain is practically a tropical vacation compared to what we've had. So dust off your lawn chairs, keep one eye on the sky, and maybe finally plant those flowers and those garden veggies you gave up on back in May.
It’s not perfect—but after smoke, chills, and 40 mph gusts, “warm with a chance of rain” sounds downright dreamy.
