There’s something truly special about the Norsk Høstfest in Minot, North Dakota. Every fall, Scandinavians and Scandinavia-enthusiasts from across the state—and even beyond—gather to celebrate their shared heritage. For many, like myself, it’s more than just a festival; it’s a chance to reconnect with our roots, honor family traditions, and simply enjoy the culture that shaped us.

Since my Grandma Haugen passed away, I’ve found comfort in enjoying a big plate of klub at Høstfest. There’s nothing quite like the familiar taste of that Norwegian potato dumpling to bring back some favorite memories. That’s the magic of this event—it combines food, music, and fellowship to create something timeless.

Get Ready to Rock the Høstfest: Country Legends, Classic Tributes, and Disco Delights!

One of my favorite parts of the Høstfest is the live entertainment, and this year’s lineup is nothing short of fantastic. Kicking things off on Wednesday, September 24th at 3 PM is legendary Norwegian country singer Bjøro Håland. On Thursday, September 25th at 7 PM, fans of classic rock can catch Matt Vee & The Killer Vees performing a Neil Diamond tribute. If disco is more your style, ABBAcadabra, the ultimate ABBA tribute, takes the stage on Friday, September 26th at 1 PM.

Also on Friday, at 7 PM, and again Saturday, September 27th at 1 PM, Little Texas, the award-winning country group, will bring their chart-topping hits to the stage. And don’t miss Medora Presents: Cash vs The King—a musical showdown between Johnny Cash and Elvis—on Friday at 1 PM.

Tickets go on sale May 17, so mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable week of Scandinavian pride and entertainment in Minot North Dakota!
