Williston and Williams County law enforcement are inviting residents of the community to have Coffee-With-A-Cop on September 27th.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, the Williams County Sheriff's Office, and the Williston Police Department are assisting in organizing the event. The event will take place at the Williston Area Recreation Center, located at 822 18th Street East, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The community rarely gets the opportunity to meet the police officers who patrol the streets of the city and county in a casual setting.

Attendees are welcome to stop by, ask questions, and share their concerns with members to help alleviate any concerns they have, as well as build trust.

They can also have open, meaningful conversations with police officers without having to worry about formal speeches or pre-scheduled agendas.

One simple but important goal of the event is to help people and police trust, understand, and work together with each other.

These personal links will improve the ties that bind Williams County and help make it a safe and friendly place to live, work, and visit.

At Coffee with a Cop, you can meet local police, share your views, and learn about their daily work. This is true whether you've lived in the area for a long time or are new to it.

Everyone is welcome to stop by, have a coffee, and take part in this community event.
