As the sun sets, the WCVCD team will be out and about, armed with Zenivex E20, a product approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for residential use. With the active ingredient Etofenprox, this treatment is designed to knock down adult mosquitoes, keeping those annoying biters at bay.
Stay Clear: Keep 300 Feet Away from Fogging Trucks for Safety
Residents are kindly reminded to steer clear of the Vector Control trucks while they're in action. For safety, it's important to stay at least 300 feet away from the fogging trucks as they roll through your neighborhood.
But the fight doesn’t end there! Here are some easy tips to help you avoid mosquito bites at home:
- Wear long sleeve, tight-knit shirts and long pants, especially during peak mosquito hours between dusk and dawn.
- Use mosquito repellent like DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus.
- Eliminate standing water around your property—those little pools are mosquito breeding grounds!
So, Williston, let's work together to keep our evenings bite-free. Stay safe, stay covered, and let’s give those mosquitoes a run for their money!
