A New Chapter Ahead: Williston, North Dakota Chamber Director Brookelle Otte Announces Departure
The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that its Director, Brookelle Otte, will be stepping away from her role at the beginning of February. Otte and her husband will soon be heading to Oklahoma after he accepted a new position there, marking the start of a new chapter for their family and bringing a bittersweet farewell to the Williston business community.

In a statement released by the Chamber, Otte reflected on her journey and the difficulty of the decision. She began her career with the Chamber as the Events and Administrative Coordinator and, in 2024, stepped into the role of President and CEO. “Today, I am announcing with a heavy heart, my departure from this position at the beginning of February,” Otte shared. “This decision did not come lightly, especially as I leave behind a wonderful team, board, and chamber connectors.” She explained that her fiancé’s relocation out of state prompted the move, and together they decided to embark on a new adventure.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors has assured the community that they are actively strategizing to ensure a smooth transition. In their statement, they emphasized that the Chamber and the Williston community remain in good hands, with strong leadership and a clear vision moving forward.

A Difficult Decision and a Smooth Transition Ahead for the Williston Chamber
Otte took time to express gratitude to those who supported her throughout her tenure. She thanked her Chamber team for their positive, can-do attitude and tireless efforts to strengthen Williston’s economic community. She also acknowledged the Board of Directors for laying a strong foundation of support and recognized Chamber connectors, including committees, members, and partners, who have championed the industries that fuel Williston. From agriculture and energy to retail and beyond, Otte highlighted Williston’s unique balance of economic growth and small-town community feel.
Under her leadership, the Chamber saw significant accomplishments. In 2025 alone, the Chamber shattered its Milestone Celebration record with 30 ribbon cuttings, surpassing the previous record of 19 in a single year. The Chamber also introduced a new Tiered Dues system, giving members flexibility to choose the membership that best fits their needs. Hundreds of members benefited from increased brand awareness, professional development opportunities, networking, consultations, and savings programs.
Looking ahead, the Chamber will continue to support the local professional community through initiatives like the CEO Program, Leadership Williston, a Chamber Directory, and more exciting projects planned for 2026.
Otte leaves knowing the groundwork has been laid for continued success. Her leadership, dedication, and passion for Williston’s business community have made a lasting impact. The community extends its sincere thanks to Brookelle Otte for her hard work and leadership, and wishes her the very best as she begins this next adventure.
