When we go to the grocery store in North Dakota, we expect that what we're purchasing is safe to give to our family, right?
However, there has seemingly been a significant uptick in food safety issues that have popped up across the nation.
Most of the time, these things get caught quickly, with no one being affected. However, there have been a few recent outbreaks that have not only caused illnesses but also death.
And look, for the most part, what we get at the grocery store is absolutely fine, however, sometimes things slip through the cracks, and sadly, that seems to be the case for an item you may be giving your family.
More Apple Juice Has Been Recalled Due To Arsenic Poisoning
According to Patch, the Florida-based juice company Refresco Beverages voluntarily recalled over 133,000 cases of applied juice due to inorganic levels of arsenic that were above the FDA threshold.
Granted, the fact that there's an acceptable level of arsenic allowed in certain foods per the FDA is alarming in and of itself, but having it show up somehow in apple juice is flooring.
To date, however, no reports of illness have been reported which is a great sign.
