West Fargo And Dickinson Excel In North Dakota AA Baseball Tournament

West Fargo, Dickinson Advance with Convincing Wins in Day 4 Evening Action at State Tournament

The second half of Day 4 at the 2025 North Dakota AA American Legion Baseball Tournament wrapped up Thursday evening at Ardean Aafedt Stadium, with West Fargo and Dickinson notching commanding victories in the 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. games, respectively.

Game 13: Bismarck Governors vs West Fargo Patriots

West Fargo Patriots powered past the Bismarck Governors, who were in their second game of the day by the final of 11-2, behind a flawless performance at the plate from Brody Medina, who went 3-for-3 with singles in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.

Bismarck struck first with a Tanner Groseclose RBI single in the opening frame, but West Fargo responded quickly. A double from Jett Collins, a fielder’s choice by Tatem Herrmann, and a daring steal of home by Collins put the Patriots on top for good.

Patriots pitcher Parker Henrich went the distance, giving up eight hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out six and walking none. Offensively, West Fargo racked up 13 hits and committed no errors. Medina was supported by multiple hits from Hudson Dinger, Landon Zink, Collins, and Luke Finn.

The win for West Fargo places them against Dickinson at 3:00 pm on Friday.

The loss eliminates the Bismarck Governors from the tournament.

Game 14: Dickinson Roughriders vs Minot Vistas

In the nightcap, Dickinson Roughriders also won their second game of the day, defeating the Minot Vistas 5-1. Minot took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on an RBI single from Brody Mueller, but Dickinson roared back in the fourth with three runs, including RBIs from Malachai Medina and Camden Kubas.

Dickinson’s Emerson Simnioniw allowed just four hits and one run in a complete-game effort. The Roughriders capitalized on Minot’s defensive miscues, as all five of their runs were unearned. Kubas, Nick Sobolik, Brady Hecker, and Jack Price each had a hit, while the defense remained clean behind Simnioniw.

The win propels the Dickinson Roughriders to the losers bracket semi-final game against West Fargo at 3:00 pm on Friday.

The loss ends the season for the Minot Vistas.
