World Nativities Exhibit Brings Global Holiday Spirit to Williston ND
It's never too early to get the word about something special! This December, CHI St. Alexius Health Williston invites you to pack your bags—metaphorically speaking—for a journey around the globe, all without leaving town. The World Nativities in Williston Exhibit is back for its second year, and it’s as heartwarming and awe-inspiring as ever. Last year's exhibit was amazing, and this year's promises to be even better!
Step into the hospital’s medical library and experience the magic of 100 handmade Nativity scenes from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. These intricate pieces, each a burst of color and culture, were crafted using materials ranging from clay to corn husks. Ever wondered what the birth of Jesus might look like in Cambodia or Colombia? Now’s your chance to find out!
The collection comes courtesy of Garrick Hyde, CHI St. Alexius Health Williston’s president, who has spent the last 20 years collecting these treasures during his humanitarian travels. Each Nativity reflects the artisan’s local traditions, adding a unique flair to the timeless Christmas story.
Community members can enjoy a guided tour, thanks to the hospital’s dedicated volunteers. It’s a festive, family-friendly event designed to bring people together in the spirit of the season.
