Support continues to roll in for the families that suffered an unimaginable loss in the first part of April. The city of Williston and our region is hosting the Williston Strong 5k walk/ run fundraiser Saturday, April 28. The Event will take place at Spring Lake Park.

During a visit with Paul Lankford today, she stressed this event would be for everyone. You do not have to be a runner to participate. The event on Saturday is meant to serve as a forum for people to gather in solidarity offering a meaningful avenue for remembering those that passed and providing support for those that need it most.

As the event poster states, together we can continue to make a difference and demonstrate the power of compassion and community. This right here is the heart of any community, and Williston's heart continues to beat strong for its own.

Volunteers are still needed for set-up, registration, water station help, refreshments, first aid, clocking, clean-up, and cheering.

So come on out to Spring Lake Park as participants will stride towards hope and healing for Williston families in need. The Williston Community Builders is a fiscal partner so all donations go in through their 501(c)(3) organization and proceeds will be paid out by WCB to the families of the kids involved in the 4/3/23 accidents.

If you want more details about this unique fundraiser, click here to register, make a donation, or volunteer.  This will be a difficult day for some, and grief counselors will be available.
