A Deal Worth Crossing the Border For

Through this initiative, full-time Canadian students enrolling in certificate or degree programs can benefit from a Presidential Waiver that slashes tuition costs by up to 35%! The exact discount is tied to the annual CAD/USD exchange rate, ensuring fairness and flexibility. And don’t worry—this program won’t take away from WSC’s existing scholarship funds for local students.

“This initiative is an innovative way to bring in students from across the border while ensuring our scholarship funds remain fully dedicated to supporting local and regional students,” said WSC President Dr. Bernell Hirning.

What’s the Catch?

There isn’t one! However, there are a few things to note:

• Tuition savings only – While the waiver helps with tuition, other costs like housing, fees, and meal plans remain separate.
• Full-time enrollment required – Students must take at least 12 credits per semester in an onsite or online program.
• Savings vary annually – The waiver amount is adjusted based on the July 1 CAD/USD exchange rate.
