If there’s one thing just about everyone in North Dakota can agree on right now, it’s this: winter has seriously overstayed its welcome. The snowbanks are tired, we’re tired, and our vehicles are tired of being covered in road salt. Thankfully, there’s a bright spot on the calendar that feels like a sneak peek of spring. It's the 39th Annual Williston Sport & Rec Show, happening March 20–22, 2026.

Featured Speaker Announced

One of the biggest highlights this year is guest speaker Jason Mitchell, a 2016 North Dakota Fishing Hall of Fame inductee. His show, Jason Mitchell Outdoors, is one of the most popular outdoor programs in the industry, and fishing fans won’t want to miss hearing from him in person.

Family Fun And Food For Everyone

And yes, this is absolutely a family-friendly event. Thorni Ridge Exotic Animals will be on-site with some seriously adorable guests, including a baby kangaroo, baby zebra, tortoise, and even an alligator. If that doesn’t put you in a better mood, the freshly made mini donuts upstairs probably will. Full concessions will also be available downstairs, so nobody goes home hungry.

Show Hours
Friday, March 20: 1–8 p.m.
Saturday, March 21: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Sunday, March 22: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

After months of winter, the Williston Sport & Rec Show is the perfect excuse to get out of the house, dream about spring, and remember why North Dakotans love the great outdoors so much.
