Get ready, Coyotes — there’s another reason to bundle up your school spirit, because SnowComing Week is rolling into Williston High School! Mark those calendars for January 12 through January 16, because WHS is turning the start of second semester into a full-blown celebration, winter-style.

If you’re new to the idea, SnowComing is basically Homecoming’s cooler (literally) cousin. It has all the fun of spirit days and school pride, just without the football games and with a lot more cozy clothing. This year’s theme is “Ice Age,” and the lineup of dress-up days proves that winter in Williston doesn’t mean boring — it means creative.

Things kick off tonight with Movie Night, which is basically permission to wear your best school-appropriate pajamas to class. Fuzzy pants, flannel, slippers (maybe not the actual slippers), and all the comfy vibes are encouraged.

Wednesday, January 14

Wednesday might be the most entertaining day of the week: Snowcial Media. Students can transform into their favorite school-appropriate meme, and if history tells us anything, the hallways will be full of laughs, inside jokes, and at least one costume that makes teachers do a double-take.

Thursday, January 15

Thursday’s Frozen in Time theme is a throwback dream — pick a decade, any decade, and bring some vintage flair to the classroom. Bell bottoms, neon, grunge, or retro jackets… anything goes.

Friday, January 16

The week wraps up Friday with the classic and beloved Orange and Black Day, where Coyotes show off their WHS pride loud and proud.

One important reminder: there will NOT be a Close Up dance at the end of SnowComing week. Don’t panic — the Winter Close Up Dance is scheduled for February 14, so you’ll still get your chance to hit the dance floor.

SnowComing is all about school spirit, creativity, and having a little fun during the long winter stretch. So break out the pajamas, plan that meme costume, and get ready to make January a whole lot cooler at Williston High School.
