Williston ND Gears Up for an Action-Packed NDAHA State Hockey Tournament

Grab your jackets and your loudest cheering voices—Williston is set to become Hockey Town, USA (or at least North Dakota) this weekend! The NDAHA State Hockey Tournament is taking over the Agri Sports Complex, and it’s bringing some of the toughest, fastest, and most enthusiastic young players from across the state.

This year’s tournament lineup is from all over the state, with teams ready to hit the ice and battle it out for glory. Teams coming to town include:

• Bismarck Capitals
• Dickinson Outlaws
• Williston Flyers Black
• Williston Flyers Orange

Friday, March 7 Events

The excitement kicks off Friday with four games. That will set the tone for the grand Opening Ceremonies just after the last game of the day. The event will feature a warm welcome, a performance by the Williston OKA figure skating team, a patriotic salute from the Color Guard, and the National Anthem—performed by the Williston Flyers Squirt Hockey Team.

Saturday, March 8 Events

Saturday is another packed day, featuring five more matchups you'll want to take in, a skills competition (where we find out who’s got the hardest slapshot and the quickest hands), a silent auction, and a team meal and social to bring everyone together off the ice.

Sundayy, March 9 Events

By Sunday, the players will be extra sharp, and ready to do battle for consolation, third place, and—of course—the championship! No matter the final scores, it’s the hard work, sportsmanship, and camaraderie that make this tournament one to remember.
