
Williston Fire Department Stays Busy During Fourth Of July Weekend
The Williston Fire Department responded to 76 calls over the Fourth of July weekend—up slightly from last year’s total.
Among the most serious calls:
Just after midnight on July 4th, firefighters responded to a duplex fire on West Broadway Street. All residents evacuated safely, but the damage forced everyone out of both units. The cause is still under investigation.
Later that day, a UTV rollover on 2nd Avenue West left two people injured. One was later transferred to Minot for further treatment.
That night, fireworks sparked a garage fire at Vue 28 Apartments, damaging three units.
And early July 5th, a collision between a dirt bike and a passenger vehicle left a minor injured. He was later airlifted for further care.
