The Williston Fire Department responded to 76 calls over the Fourth of July weekend—up slightly from last year’s total.

Among the most serious calls:

Just after midnight on July 4th, firefighters responded to a duplex fire on West Broadway Street. All residents evacuated safely, but the damage forced everyone out of both units. The cause is still under investigation.

Later that day, a UTV rollover on 2nd Avenue West left two people injured. One was later transferred to Minot for further treatment.

That night, fireworks sparked a garage fire at Vue 28 Apartments, damaging three units.

And early July 5th, a collision between a dirt bike and a passenger vehicle left a minor injured. He was later airlifted for further care.
