The Western Area Builders Association (WABA) announced in a press release the upcoming Parade of Homes event, set for Saturday, September 28, from 11 AM to 6 p.m.

This highly anticipated event provides a platform for local builders to showcase their projects while allowing the public to explore the latest design trends and unique features in residential construction.

The Parade of Homes is open to new homes and other residential construction projects that meet the event's criteria. Builders can register their projects on the WABA website, with a registration deadline of August 31. While builders pay a fee to include their projects on the route, public viewing is free.

“We have four different categories available,” said WABA board president Thomas Freeman. “We hope to see wide participation from our builder community. This is a unique opportunity for them to demonstrate their skills and creativity. There are some really impressive homes being built right now.”

The categories for the event include New Home, Remodel, Kitchen, and Outdoor Living. Homes can be entered in multiple categories, and a panel of qualified judges will score the entries. Additionally, the public will vote for a People’s Choice winner in each category. New Home entries do not need to be completely finished but must pass a safety inspection to participate. Owner-completed projects in the Outdoor Living category are also welcome.

Event maps and details about each entry will be available in September. Builders can register their projects on the WABA website at https://westernndbuilders.com. Special registration pricing is available for WABA members participating in the Parade of Homes.
