The Rush Organizes Fundraiser For Sidney Resident Facing Stage 4 Cancer Diagnosis
The Rush in Sidney is coming together to support one of their own in a time of need. This Friday, the local coffee shop is hosting a special fundraiser for Raeyn and Chad Anderson, a young couple facing an uphill battle. Raeyn, who works as a weekend barista at The Rush, and her husband Chad are navigating the challenges of Chad’s Stage 4 stomach cancer diagnosis.
Chad is currently undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and will soon be traveling to Oregon to meet with a surgical oncologist to discuss potential treatment options.
Here's where things get interesting. The Rush is stepping up to help ease the financial burden for the Anderson family as they prepare for this next chapter. To contribute, The Rush will donate $1 from every car that comes through their drive-thru on Friday. In addition to the coffee purchases, there will be a bake sale with delicious treats available both at The Rush window and in The Lush Rush trailer parked outside. Not only do you get your caffeine or food fix, but you are supporting a good cause too.
For those who like a little extra excitement, 50/50 tickets will be available for sale throughout the event, giving participants a chance to win while supporting a good cause. If you’re unable to attend but still want to help, donations can be made through a gofundme page that will be created shortly.
Raeyn, Chad, and their family extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who has already offered support and to those planning to attend or donate. Every bit of help makes a difference in their journey.
