The Williston State Tetons are back on the road tonight to take on Buccaneers of Dawson Community College in Glendive.

Starting the evening off will be the Women's game, which tips off at 6:30 pm CST.  The Tetons are looking to make it 1-1 against Dawson following early season overtime loss in Glendive..

In that game, regulation ended with the two teams tied at 45.  Dawson outscored Williston State in overtime to take the 60-54 victory. .

Dawson comes into the game fresh off of last weeks win against Unite Tribes, but at 3-7 over their last 10 games.  The 10-9 Mystics (8-2 Mon-Dak) enter the tonight with a one game lead over the Tetons for 2nd place.

The Bucs are averaging 64.4 points per game while hitting 37.8% of their shots from the field, and 26.8% from beyond the arc.

Hailee Brandon leads the way in scoring, pouring in 12.9 points per game, with Sabira Ahayeva (10.3 ppg), and Michelle Arens (10.3 ppg) also contributing to the royals offensive output.

Williston State comes into the game 11-6 (7-3 Mon-Dak) overall on the season, and are riding a five game win streak, and 8-2 in their last 10.  The team is averaging 65.8 points per game, while shooting  42.8% overall and 29.8% from deep.

Tetons are led in scoring by Emily Kurkowsky with 16.0 points per game, and joining her in the double digit club is fellow sophomore guard Hayley Macdonald (10.0 ppg).

Three things to watch for:

1. Controlling the Paint: With a rotation of four capable post players, the Tetons can control the game by getting points in the paint and getting second and third chance opportunities.

2. Patient Perimeter Play:  The player of the game against Bismarck Elizabeth Field hit 4 huge three pointers to propel WSC to victory in Bismarck, but every one of the outside shots was the right shot to take.  The Tetons are one of the best perimeter shooting teams in the conference not because of their deadly accuracy, but because they don't force shots from the outside and wait for good open look and look to continue that tonight.

3. Smart Defense:  The last time these two teams faced off, some late fouls made life more difficult.  A Bucs teams that is deep with crafty guard play will require all 5 Tetons on the court to stay locked in every possession, and stay out of foul trouble.
