Tee Off for a Cause: Williston, North Dakota’s Indoor Golf Challenge Helps Local Patients
I’ll be the first to admit—I’m not exactly the next big thing in golf. In fact, my golf game is somewhere between “needs improvement” and “a danger to nearby windows.” But when I heard about an upcoming event that combines golf, February, and a great cause, I couldn’t help but take a swing at it.

Introducing the 2025 Indoor Golf Challenge, February 28 at The Range in Williston! This event will bring the community together for some wintertime golf fun while raising funds for a much-needed cause.
CHI St. Alexius Health Williston is on a mission to replace its old patient beds, and all proceeds from this event will support Operation Restoring Comfort: An Acute-care Hospital Bed Renewal Initiative. That’s right—your golf swing (or lack thereof) could help bring better comfort and care to hospital patients.
So how does it work? Simple. Gather a team of four and put your skills to the test in three challenges:
- Longest Drive – Time to see who can channel their inner pro golfer!
- Closest to the Pin – Precision is key (and bragging rights are on the line!).
- Points Competition – Every swing counts, literally!
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and even last place—because at the end of the day, it’s all about having fun. But wait, there’s more! Participants can also enjoy door prizes, lunch, and other games throughout the day, making it an all-around fantastic event.
If you’re looking for a unique way to break out the clubs while there’s still snow on the ground, this is your chance. Register today, take a swing for a great cause, and help bring comfort to those who need it most. You can see all the details here. See you on the (indoor) course!
