According to Executive Director Tamara Rooks, "The Dog Jog brings the entire community together with their pets to raise awareness for the desperate need of all the rescue pets in the entire Mon-Dak Region."

The much needed dollars that are raised at this popular fundraiser will allow the rescue to end the year strong. All funds generated will be used to provide food, enrichment activities, spay and neuter procedures, immunizations, and other daily care necessities for the animals in rescue. One thing that needs to be stressed is the Mon-Dak Animal Rescue is a private organization. That means they do not receive any government funds. This is why these fundraisers are so important for this organization.

It should noted, there is something for everyone to enjoy. There is a volleyball challenge, a pet services demonstration, a vendor show, and a photo booth too. In case you want refreshments, lunch will be available for just $5.00. So lace up those shoes, grab the leashes, and come to Spring Lake Park for the 23rd annual Dog Jog!
