Overall, organizers say it was a great day and are already looking forward to next year. Both Hugh and Janessa were quick to thank all who participated in the run and wanted to shout out to the volunteers and sponsors for making it all possible. For the first year, it was defiantly a success all the way around.
Not only was this an excellent day for area runners, but it was also a massive kick-off for the Upper Missouri Relay For Life. Proceeds raised were donated back to relay efforts in Williston. Marathon organizers are happy to report that $21,000 was raised on Saturday.
