Officer Involved Shooting In Williston

On December 9, 2022, at approximately 3:40am, the Williston Police Department initiated contact with a vehicle blocking traffic at the intersection of 2nd Ave W and 42nd St W. A foot pursuit ensued involving two Williston Police Department officers. The suspect and the officers exchanged gunfire. Officers rendered medical care to the suspect until paramedics could arrive on scene. Neither officer was struck during the exchange of gunfire.

The suspect was transported for medical care. The identity and the status of the suspect along with the identity of the officers are not being released until a later time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
