North Dakota’s May Weather: Get Ready For A Pleasant kick-off
Get ready to bust out the lawnmowers and trimmers, North Dakota — May is kicking off this Thursday, and from the looks of it, Mother Nature is in a pretty good mood!
May Starts with a Warm Welcome in North Dakota
NOAA has released their 8-14 day outlook, and it’s full of good news: temperatures are expected to be above normal for the start of the month! That’s right — we’re looking at mild, possibly even warm weather across most of North Dakota. It's the kind of forecast that makes you want to dig out the patio furniture and maybe even risk putting out a few flowers (fingers crossed, no surprise frosts!).

A Little Rain, but Nothing to Dampen Our Spirits!
As for precipitation, the forecast shows about a 40% chance of rain. So, while you might want to keep an umbrella handy, it’s not shaping up to be a total washout. A little rain here and there never hurt anyone — plus, our yards could use the extra drink!
Overall, the kick-off to May is looking downright nice. It’s the perfect excuse to fire up the mower, break out the rake, and start whipping that yard back into shape after a long winter’s nap. Whether you're chasing dandelions, trimming up shrubs, or just enjoying some sun, the start of May is giving us every reason to get outside and celebrate.
Here’s to warm breezes, green grass, and a little bit of dirt under our fingernails. Happy May, North Dakota!
