North Dakota Troopers Need Your Clicks — It’s Time to Crown the Best-Looking Squad Car!
If you’ve ever driven down I-94 and thought, “Wow, that North Dakota Highway Patrol car looks sharp!” — now’s your chance to make that opinion count. The American Association of State Troopers is once again revving up their annual Best-Looking Police Car Contest for 2025, and our troopers could use a little hometown help!

All 50 states have thrown their best wheels into the ring — some sleek, some sturdy, and some downright flashy. And, well, North Dakota is hanging in there. As of today, our dedicated patrol car is sitting pretty with 4,975 votes. Not bad, right? But before you get too comfortable, let’s look at the competition.
Our neighbors aren’t exactly stealing the show:
Montana’s got 844 votes so far.
South Dakota’s cars have 858 votes.
Minnesota is trailing with 483. So, if we look at the local scoreboard, we’re winning the Northern Plains! But zoom out a bit, and you’ll see the heavy hitters.

Michigan’s got a whopping 33,767 votes — apparently, they’ve got some serious squad car swagger.
Florida, never one to shy away from the spotlight, is flexing with 25,600 votes for their 2023 Chevrolet Corvette. A Corvette! No wonder they’re cruising ahead.
So what can you do to help? It’s simple: take a quick break from scrolling through social media, pop over to the contest page, and toss a vote to our troopers. Sure, they might not have a Corvette, but they’ve got North Dakota grit — and that should count for something!
At the end of the day, whether we win the shiny bragging rights or not, one thing’s for sure: we appreciate our officers for doing the real work that matters. From the coldest January blizzard to the hottest July day, they’re out there keeping our highways and byways safe for everyone.
So let’s give them a little morale boost — and maybe a well-deserved trophy for the garage. North Dakota drivers, start your voting engines!
