The Prairie Winds Kite Company is bringing their stunning and unique kites to showcase, creating a colorful sky that's sure to captivate everyone. Wales, dragons, and even a few flying pigs too! From intricate designs to giant kites that defy gravity, there's something for everyone to marvel at.

In addition to all the unique kites, another highlight of the festival is the candy drop, happening at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM on both August 3 and August 4. Watch as organizers release sweet treats from above, delighting kids and adults alike. It's a sugary shower you’ll want to be under!

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
