Apply Now for North Dakota's 2025 Deer Gun Season – Deadline is June 4

Applications are now open for the regular deer gun season, as well as gratis, youth, and muzzleloader licenses. All applications must be submitted online through the North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s website here by midnight on June 4. Miss that deadline, and you miss your shot—literally.

Don’t Lose Your Bonus Points – Apply or Purchase One This Year

If you skipped applying last year, be aware: you’ll lose your accrued bonus points unless you either apply or purchase a point this year. These points can improve your odds in future license lotteries, so don’t let them go to waste.

Youth Hunters Welcome: Antlerless Licenses Available for Ages 11–13, With Some Exceptions

There’s also good news for young hunters: residents ages 11, 12, and 13 are eligible to obtain any antlerless licenses, except in specific hunting units—3B1, 3B2, and 4A through 4F—where mule deer doe licenses are restricted due to population management efforts.

The total number of deer licenses available each year is based on several factors, including harvest rates, aerial surveys, depredation reports, hunter observations, and feedback from advisory board meetings, the public, landowners, and Game and Fish field staff.
