North Dakota Buyers Beware—This Recall Might Affect You!
An announcement regarding a voluntary recall of a well-known brand of laundry detergent was made over the weekend. Soap is designed to clean a wide variety of surfaces, including the hands, hair, and even clothing. However, this is where the problem comes up. It would appear that a batch of Woolie may include microorganisms that are dangerous to humans.

If you are a Woolite Delicates detergent user, you are going to want to pay attention to this recall information. Reckitt Benckiser, of Parsippany, New Jersey, announced that it is recalling about 16,200, 50-ounce bottles of the detergent because of the issue.
What Caused The Recall
A release from the Consumer Protection Safety Commission said that the detergent could contain Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas oleovorans, an organism found in soil and water. I had a hard enough time typing this stuff...can you imagine trying to say it?
Why You Should Pay Attention
This is where things might get a little scary. If someone with a weak immune system or an external medical device is exposed to the bacteria, they could get a dangerous infection that needs medical care. These germs can get into the body through the eyes or a cut in the skin. Most of the time, this bacteria doesn't make people sick, and so far there have been no reports of accidents or illnesses.
The bottles are white with a light pink label and cap and have the lot codes S24364, S24365 and S24366. They were sold exclusively on Amazon.com for $14 to $17. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Woolite detergent and contact the company for a full refund.
If you have any questions or want more details, you can reach out to Reckitt at 800-228-4722 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. You can also reach them by email at ConsumerCare_USA@reckitt.com, or online here. You can also visit the Woolite website for more information.
