NDSU Extension Williams County Offers Informative Babysitting Classes
NDSU Extension Williams County is excited to announce the availability of Babysitting Classes for individuals interested in learning essential childcare skills. These classes will be held on July 19, July 20, August 3, and August 8, providing multiple opportunities for interested participants. The classes will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Williams County Hwy Complex, in the 1st-floor conference room located at 5218 141st Ave NW, Williston.
To participate in the Babysitting Classes, there is a $30.00 registration fee, which must be paid at the time of the class. Payments can be made in cash or by check, payable to NDSU Extension. While lunch will not be provided, participants are encouraged to bring their own, but snacks and water will be provided throughout the day to keep everyone energized and focused.
The Babysitting Classes' comprehensive curriculum includes a nice selection of topics, helping participants learn a firm foundation in childcare for various developmental stages, from infants to school-age children. The course will emphasize safety while focusing on vital chores such as feeding, changing, and entertaining youngsters. Participants will also get the opportunity to learn child and newborn CPR/AED/First Aid, which will lead to certification by the American Heart Association K-12.
Interested individuals must give all relevant information throughout the sign-up procedure in order to obtain a position in the class. A confirmation email will be issued within 1-2 days of completion, followed by a reminder email a few days before the scheduled class day.
Each session will have a limited capacity of 12 students to ensure an appropriate learning environment and meet CPR Training requirements. If fewer than eight people sign up, the class may be canceled. It is crucial to note that these classes will no longer have a waitlist, as enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
