If there’s one thing Williston knows how to do, it’s throw a party with purpose—and the 9th Annual National Night Out is ready to prove it. Mark your calendars for Monday, August 5, 2025, because from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Davidson Park will be buzzing with flashing lights (the friendly kind), laughter, and the sweet sound of sno cone slurping.

Sirens, Smiles, and a Night with Williston’s Finest

Hosted by the Williston Police Department, this event is more than just a block party—it’s a full-on community celebration where sirens meet smiles. Families are invited to come out, mingle with our local heroes in uniform, and meet specialty teams that normally only show up on high-drama episodes of your favorite cop shows. (Yes, the Drone Team will be there—sorry, no rides allowed!)

Free Food, Fun Games, and Sno Cones to Beat the Heat

The event features free food (yes, we said FREE), giveaways, games, and a scavenger hunt that'll have you chasing clues faster than your toddler chasing the ice cream truck. And if August decides to turn up the heat, Creekside Water & Ice will be on hand with cool sno cones to keep you refreshed.

There's More To It Than Just Food & Fun

The real magic, though, is in the mission. National Night Out is all about building bridges between law enforcement and the neighborhoods they protect. It’s a handshake, a conversation, a shared hotdog—all the little things that help turn a community into a family.

All Agencies Will Be There

More than a dozen partner agencies will be on site, including the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williston Fire Department, Highway Patrol, SWAT, and even the Civil Air Patrol. The Williston Community Library will be there too—because even in a park full of sirens and sno cones, reading can still be fun!

So, bring the kids, the grandparents, or just yourself—and maybe an appetite. Let’s celebrate community, connection, and the kind of night that reminds us why we love calling Williston home.
