Check Your Hunting License Status On MyFWP Today
Hunters who are nonresidents and registered for the Alternate List can now access MyFWP to see where they stand on the list.
Following the main drawing, nonresident hunters have a second opportunity to obtain a combination license (big game, general elk, or general deer) through the Alternate List. When other hunters return these licenses—often because of health concerns or requests for refunds—they become available.
The list was randomized today after the sign-up period ended on June 30.
A random number was given to every customer on the list.
Hunters at the top of the randomized list will be contacted first to complete the license purchase as soon as returned licenses become available, and so on, until all returned nonresident combo licenses have been filled.
Five days will pass before you complete your purchase. If you fail to complete the process by the deadline, we will transfer the license to the next person in line.
Please ensure your email address in MyFWP is current, as hunters will receive notifications via email.
You can return licenses at any time until December 1st, the last day for refunds.
As a result, the quantity of licenses that are available and your chances of obtaining one can change from year to year.
