Montana Highway 25 To Get A Fresh Look With Community Input
The Montana Department of Transportation is inviting public comment on a proposal to resurface approximately five miles of Montana Highway 25 southeast of Wolf Point.
The project would begin at 4th Avenue SE in Wolf Point and extend southeast to near the intersection with Montana Highway 13. Planned improvements include crack filling, a seal and cover treatment, commonly known as a chip seal, and upgraded pavement markings.
According to MDT, the work is intended to extend the life of the existing pavement and reduce long-term maintenance costs. No new right-of-way acquisitions or utility relocations are anticipated as part of the project.
Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2027, depending on completion of the design phase and the availability of funding.
MDT officials said public involvement is an important part of planning future transportation projects and encouraged residents to share comments or suggestions. Written comments may be submitted online through MDT’s comment form or mailed to Montana Department of Transportation, Glendive office, PO Box 890, Glendive, MT 59330-0890. Comments should reference project UPN 10673000.
Members of the public with questions about the proposal may also contact Glendive District Project Development Engineer Jim Frank or Project Design Engineer Joy Fleming.

Additional information on this and other active transportation projects can be found on MDT’s website and in the department’s five-year Tentative Construction Plan.
