Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will hold an informational fisheries meeting Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sheridan County Library Jubilee Room.

Regional fisheries technician Hayden Cody and regional fisheries manager Tyler Haddix will provide an overview of 2025 pond and small reservoir sampling efforts in northeast Montana. The presentation will include sampling results from Box Elder Reservoir, updates to fish stocking plans and upcoming management actions.

Agency officials said the meeting is intended to give area residents an opportunity to learn about local fisheries management and participate in open discussion with FWP staff. Attendees will be able to ask questions and share input regarding fisheries issues and future planning in the region.

FWP stated that the meeting location is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. Those who require special accommodations are asked to call 406-228-3700 in advance.

The agency routinely conducts sampling and monitoring efforts to assess fish populations, guide stocking decisions and inform long-term management strategies across Montana waters.
