Delta Flight Narrowly Avoids B52 Bomber Near Minot Airport
Passengers on a Delta Airlines flight operated by SkyWest were involved in a near miss with a B-52 near Minot Friday.
According to NPR, the pilot, who hasn't been officially identified, pulled what he called an "aggressive maneuver" to avoid coming into contact with either the B-52 or the wash it created.
After landing, the pilot apologized to passengers for the incident.
The Air Force did plan a flyover of the North Dakota state fair, and the Air Force has also acknowledged that Minot AFB and Minot International Airport have airspaces that are close to each other.
