Last week, I got an email from Williston Economic Development with an update on a building project that still has people talking. Another business is getting closer to opening in Williston!

Jersey Mike's Subs is growing, opening a restaurant at the intersection of 38th Street West and Second Avenue West in Williston on April 10. The small complex located north of the Grand Williston Hotel is that one. Right now, work is being done on the new Williston franchise location. They plan to post job openings on Indeed by the middle of March, and they will soon start hiring about 25 full-time and part-time employees.

John Vagner, the franchisee, chose Williston because of its growing population and unexplored market. As a former Lifetouch territory manager, Vagner oversees four Jersey Mike's facilities now in operation and has another one planned for Dickinson. He offers decades of experience in this latest project.

Vagner wants to collaborate with neighborhood nonprofits for the Williston opening and provide rewards for getting involved in the community. Expect a charitable spin on eating, where customers may eat famous Jersey Mike's subs and support good causes.

As work continues, Vagner imagines the new Jersey Mike's location will serve as a mainstay of Williston's community involvement and support. When I visited Jersey Mike's in October of last year, I had a great time. Williston will benefit greatly from this addition!
