With social media and all the other outside influences, it's hard to keep kids believing in Santa. We want them to feel the same magical spirit during the holidays as we did when we were kids.

While it's always fun to take the kids to the mall, those Santa photos can get pretty spendy. What's another way you can have your kids talk to Santa without breaking the bank? Well, as it just so happens, I have an idea.

Have you ever heard of Santa's Hotline? It's a phone number you can call to leave a message for Santa and tell him what you want for Christmas. You even get to hear his holly, jolly voice on the call.

How to Call

According to The Today Show, all Bismarck kids have to do is dial 605-313-0691 to reach the North Pole.

The message will say the following.

Merry Christmas! This is Santa Claus, and you have reached my personal hotline. We have been swamped making all of those toys to deliver on Christmas morning, and I want you to know that your family loves you very much — and so do I. So, be good and don’t forget to always listen to your parents.

What a fun way to get your kids into the holiday spirit.

I actually called this number, and maybe it's because I'm an adult, but the message kind of creeped me out. I'm sure your kids will love it.

The source says that if you'd rather have Santa call your kids, and not leave a message, you can plug your phone number into ChristmasDialer.com. That will get you an instant phone call from Santa or one of his elves. You get one free call before getting charged.
