Best Places To Meet Singles In North Dakota
Every year, when Valentine's Day comes around, we become painfully aware of just how single we are.
To help you out, I put together a list of places where you can find other singles in North Dakota.
Let's dive in!
Courtrooms/Courthouses
Yes, he might be in trouble for breaking the law, but you can probably fix him.
Nursing Homes
If you're looking for something other than love, go to a nursing home.
Want an Anna Nicole Smith situation? Hang out there a couple of times a week until you find an elderly gentleman who's willing to buy you a couple of Birkin bags.
Doctor's Office
They probably have health insurance/can afford to go to the doctor. That'll do.
Serious Now
Ok, you caught me. I was totally kidding about those places. Now, let me give you some actual suggestions.
Target (Non-Grocery Side)
If you want to meet a single guy, go to Target. The trick is that you have to go at the right time. If you want to find a quality, gray, sweatpant-wearing guy, you have to go after 6 pm.
Single guys always go to Target after the family rush.
Go hang out by the men's body wash section around 6, and a single guy will more than likely wander through. The bonus here is that you also know he's clean—he's buying soap.
XGolf
Want to find a man? Go to XGolf, or really anywhere they have golf simulators. There will be several groups of them at any given time. What's great about these men is that you know they have a hobby and can keep an appointment.
Gym
Guys, if you want to find a woman who is living a healthy lifestyle, look around the gym. Many people think trying to pick up women at the gym is a bad idea, but it's really not.
It boils down to two things: timing and approach.
Guys always pick the worst times to go up to women. If I'm doing any kind of squat, stay away. I'll just assume you've been staring at my but.
Men also make the mistake of trying to "help' women at the gym. They approach with some advice on how to properly use the machine we're on. Pro tip: mansplaining will make me hate you. Instead of offering "advice," give us a compliment on our form, or play dumb, and ask us how to use it.
Dog Parks
A lot of singles have canine companions. Let your dog be the icebreaker. If your dogs hit it off maybe you will too.
The Airport
It's easy to strike up a conversation with someone at the airport. Where are you going? Is the trip for business or pleasure? Sure it's 10am, but do you want to grab a drink at the bar while we wait? It's perfect.
Places to Stay Away From
Bookstores - Bookstores might sound like an adorable place for a meet cute, but it can go south very quickly.
Maybe that person is looking for the sequel to 50 Shades of Grey... AWKWARD.
Maybe a person is standing in the "Self-Help" section reading the back of a book about how you heal from a nasty divorce. Big yikes.
My advice, just don't.
Grocery Stores - Everyone needs groceries, so you might think that a grocery store would be filled with potential singles. In my opinion, it's not a good place to look. I don't even like it when people I know approach me at the grocery store. I look like I crawled out of a sewer and I'm just trying to get out of there.
Let's not.
No you don't need to disturb me during this already miserable public outing, and you also don't need to see my Preparation H and other toiletries rolling around in my cart.
That's it! I'm tapped out of ideas. If you have any suggestions on where to meet other singles, send us a message in the app.
