Hey there radio family, it’s your girl Mad Max with a weekend recap! 

Friday Fun: Shopping and Sweet Treats

I kicked things off Friday downtown at the Crazy Days Sales and festivities. I tried a scoop of Lucky Charms ice cream from The Drizzle, a new ice cream truck serving homemade treats, so good! 

Purr-fect Afternoon at Harmon Park

Later, I stopped by Non-Profits in the Park at Harmon Park, featuring ARRR, Angel’s Wish TnR, and Prairie to Peaks Animal Assistance. I met some adorable adoptable cats and left with two new cat beds for our resident queen, CC. 

Saturday: Road Trip to Minot

My mom and I hit the road at 6:30am to watch my nephew Corban play in the Northland Hockey Group’s World Cup of Hockey in Minot at the Maysa Arena. Corban, who’s 11 and lives in Grand Forks, was drafted to Team USA. 

Downtime Between Games

Between games on Saturday, we grabbed breakfast at Charlie’s Main Street Café and devoured a massive caramel roll. We also explored downtown Minot and I snapped some pics of local street art. 

Team USA’s Journey

Team USA went undefeated in pool play Saturday against Sweden and Ireland but fell to Finland in the championship game Sunday. So proud of Corban and how hard he played.
