I came across an article talking about deer hunting in America, and it shocked me to find that Montana didn't find itself on the list of the states where hunters get the most deer.
I was surprised considering just how big hunting is in Montana, and it got me thinking just how many hunters were actually in Montana, and how we compared to the other forty-nine states.

I still can't get over how Montana didn't show up on the list from 24/7 Tempo.
As any resident will tell you, the one thing you need to look out for while driving in Montana is deer, so you'd think we'd have plenty of opportunity for hunting deer.
In fact ReelTree gives the state a rating of "B" when it comes to deer hunting saying,
Although great public-ground deer hunting abounds throughout the state, southeastern Montana is a prime destination for pure opportunity. This area is flush with deer and public land. Western counties produce most of the top-end bucks.
Perhaps the reason why Montana didn't fall into the top ranks of deer hunting is because we have so much to hunt here.
