It’s Time To Clean Up Williston!
As the seasons change, an annual project is fast approaching. The Fall Clean Williston event this year will take place on the morning of September 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at a NEW LOCATION! The event is shifting to Williston Public Works this year.
This is a great opportunity to clean up your property before winter sets in. There will be specific containers available for the following materials for properly disposing of the following items:
-Wood, metal, and tires [maximum 4 per person]
-Loose tin and aluminum cans
- Cardboard (broken down)
-White Paper, unformatted
If your home office is busting at the seams with paper galore, box up all those old files and bring that stuff too! Shredding services will be provided with the first two banker's boxes free (plus $10 for each additional box).
Garbage bags can be returned to Public Works for disposal or left in the zones during the event for pickup. If volunteers don't return their gloves and safety vests to Public Works, they can take their waste bags and go.
Several zones of been set aside to clean up around town, and organizers are looking for volunteers to assist in specific areas. To get a zone that works best for you and your group, click here. You can also visit Public Works that morning for a zone assignment.
Albertsons, Chamley Pipe & Salvage, Pacific Steel & Recycling, North Dakota Recycling Services and the City of Williston have stepped up to make this event possible again this year!
