
Bouncy Seats Poses Risk To North Dakota Children: Walmart Product Recall
The recall on a Walmart-sold bouncy seat was issued by the Consumer Production Safety Commission on October 26th, with over 115k units sold nation-wide.
Cosco Jump, Spin & Play Activity Centers, manufactured by Dorel Juvenile Group Inc., of Columbus, Indiana, with model numbers WA105FZW and WA105GML, are subject to the recall.
The child-bouncy seat includes a play tray that is suspended by three straps, with both the play tray at the front of the seat and the two front poles of the activity centers, which are available in blue and pink, having two removable toy animals. Images of the chairs are featured below.
So far, there have been 141 reports of the straps detaching or breaking, including 38 minor injuries involving bumps, bruises, and scratches. The severity of the injuries was not disclosed in the notice of the recall.
Users who own the recalled activity centers should cease using them right away and get in touch with Dorel to get a replacement.
Customers will be instructed to cut through the activity centers' straps and email Dorel a picture of the damaged straps in order to get a free replacement activity center.
