Equipment is in place, and walls are going up in Williston Square. Williston Basin School District #7 just introduced Susan Prady as the very first principal for Sloulin Elementary School, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026! She spent more than 20 years in the classroom, driven by a love of student success, and is ready to offer our community her leadership and knowledge.

A principle with a goal in mind

Although Ms. Prady is from California, she knows the area! She has a close relationship with Williston after 13 years of seeing her daughter and grandchildren. This is her homecoming. Her curriculum creation, school management, and special education experience qualify her to lead Sloulin Elementary. Prady started, and led an English language program that was adopted district-wide, and she has a strong knowledge of policies, school finances, and safety.

More than just a teacher

When she is not in principle mode, you'll find her cooking, baking, hiking, or working on a do-it-yourself project. And should you ever choose to challenge her to a pickleball game—she is all in! She also enjoys motocross and NFL football, which indicates she has the stamina to keep up with even the most enthusiastic kids. She never mentioned her favorite team, so I'm sure it's the Vikings!

What's Next?

Prady begins July 1, 2025, and has a busy year. She will make crucial school decisions, hire staff, and prepare for the August 2026 opening. She will learn our school structure and help other primary schools, so she has a lot to handle.

We're happy to have Ms. Prady in Williston!
