The NJCAA's selection show came and went Monday afternoon, with gyms, locker rooms, dorms, and other rooms across the nation waiting with bated breath to see where they will end up at the Natty.

Just two days after the Tetons defeated the Triton College Trojans 70-62 on the road in Chicago, the Williston State Women's basketball team was waiting to see where they would shake out in a uniquely different situation; instead of huddled around Coach Triplet's computer or watching on the big screen in the Alumni room, the Tetons found their fate huddled around cellphones and laptops after weather prolonged the ream getting home until after 7:pm on Monday.

The configuration of the Tetons did result in an explosion of jubilance when their name appeared on the line for the #20 seed, because their ticket had already been punched on Saturday after beting the Trojans for the Northwest Plains District Championship Game.

Instead, shortly after the announcement, quiet anticipation on the bus gave way to a steadier quiet, as phones and computers switched from the NJCAA website to that of the Hutchinson Blue Dragons, who come into the season as the #13 seed.

The silence gave way to chatter about opponent height, stats, and records, and gone is the group of young women who were reaching cabin fever on the bus ride home from Chicago; returned is the team that knows that there is more work to be done.

When the 24th rolls around and it's time for Williston State to take the floor, they will get the cance to show the nation why they are the leading scoring team in the nation, and those numbers don't lie.
