Get ready to mark your calendars, because the 2024 Sidney Firemen's Breakfast is just around the corner! Set for Sunday, May 19th, this beloved event promises a day of delicious food and family fun, all in support of our local heroes at the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.

From 6 am to 1 pm, head down to the firehall located at 1105 3rd St. NW, conveniently situated across from the Justice Center. There, the dedicated crews will be serving up a hearty breakfast feast, including scrambled eggs, French toast, and breakfast sausage. It's the perfect way to start your day while supporting the brave men and women who keep our community safe.

But the festivities don't stop there! With the sun shining brightly and the weather warming up, kids of all ages are invited to hop aboard for a thrilling fire truck ride around the block. Complete with flashing lights, blaring horns, and wailing sirens, it's an experience that promises to be both exciting and memorable. I would be there just for this!

The Sidney Fire Department can't express enough gratitude for the unwavering support of the community. As an all-volunteer department serving not only Sidney but all of Richland County, it relies on the generosity and dedication of fellow residents to keep the department going. Despite operating on a limited budget, the volunteers go above and beyond, donating over 2000 hours each year for training and maintenance, and responding to over 5000 man hours of fires and emergency calls.
