North Dakota Soda Fans Pour One Out For A Discontinued Drink

Mountain Dew lovers who enjoy iterations of the beverage with a little more RPM's received sad news with the discontinuation of MTN Dew Energy.

There has been no word on several other energy drinks offered by Mountain Dew, with the popular Kickstart still listed as being available. Kickstart famously made a global splash with this now-famous commercial that, at the time, was more like a fever dream:

The company made reference to the change on the website for Rockstar Energy, another PepsiCo energy-drink brand:

"After careful consideration, we will be discontinuing MTN Dew Energy. We are incredibly grateful for your support. Fear not, Rockstar has your back for your energy needs. Find your flavor today," the company posted.

Just what is Mountain Dew Energy? According to their website:

MTN Dew Energy is formulated with the morning consumer in mind. MTN Dew Energy includes functional ingredients to help get the day started.  With 180 mg of caffeine, citicoline, zinc, & antioxidants, Mtn Dew Energy offers exciting juice-based flavors for those seeking healthier energy options.

In 2022, PepsiCo partnered with the Boston Beer Company to produce a line of alcohol-infused drinks in four flavors. Labeled "Hard Mtn Dew", the drinks were initially sold in Florida, Iowa, and Tennessee before expanding to other states.

MTN DEW Energy is no more! Official channels announced earlier this year that the MTN Dew Energy line would be discontinued moving forward. At this time, there is no sign MTN Dew Kickstart is in danger of being discontinued," the Instagram page shared.
