Williston, ND (KEYZ) Now an update on a story we told you about last December, authorities decline to file any criminal charges in connection with the December 5th accidental shooting of a 3-year-old boy. Originally, responding deputies with the Williams County Sheriff’s office found the boy with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in rural Williston — after being rushed to a hospital in Fargo in serious condition, the little boy has since returned home and is recovering well.
The Williams County Sheriff’s Office says the case is now closed and the state attorney has declined to issue any charges. Sheriff’s Sgt. Verlan Kvande said Friday the boy flipped over a laundry basket to reach the loaded weapon on the counter in the master bathroom.
